TweepSearch was created to allow people on Twitter to search their followers bio and location information. Twitter doesn't currently have a bio search and as your Twitter network grows, it's nice to be able to look through your tweeps.
Who made this?Damon Cortesi, who has made a variety of other Twitter tools such as TweetStats, the DM Whacker, and First Follow. Damon was originally contacted by Seth Simonds who mentioned it would be pretty nice if he could search his followers.

Some research into full-text indexing solutions and awesome Rails plugins for said full-text search engines and several hours later, a very early beta was ready.
There are several features that I would like to add to the site. While I'm currently self-employed, my primary job is performing web application security assessments and employing my programming skills in automating monotonous processes. Both this and TweetStats are simply hobbies I do in my spare time since it's so much fun to analyze and learn how to deal with all the data on Twitter. As for future features, here are some things I would like to add. Whether or not I'll be able to do it all depends on a lot of factors, but I hope I can.
- Distance-based location searches, so you can find people within a given area.
The ability to follow or unfollow people directly from this website.Add the ability to search your friends, too.- Search the most recent tweets from your friends or followers, ala a personalized Twitter Search.
- Index "active" people on Twitter, instead of those requested through the interface.
- How often are my followers updated? Depending on how many you have (I try to be nice to the Twitter servers), your followers will be updated anywhere between 1 hour and 10 days. For those of you with a lot of friends on Twitter, your information won't always be as current. Sorry, but unless you want to donate some money so I can crunch all those numbers, you'll just have to make do. :)
- Why don't you have ads? Because I despise them. That being said, I am considering a Twitter profile placement option that allows you to inject your Twitter profile into the search results for a fee. Please contact dacort [at] tweepsearch.com if you're interested.
